this is a wonderful house with lots of space and room for a large group or family. the only issues we had were with some wobbly chairs at the dining table and kitchen island and they came to fix them right away.
we saw a nice black bear twice close to the home!
it's important to note that if you check out on a Monday, the trash/recycling place is closed.

Our stay was great! It was a very short-notice booking and they accommodated us well. We had 10 adults and 7 children and the space worked well for us. We enjoyed the screens in multiple rooms, the sauna, the game room, and walks in the neighborhood.
Two things that were a little different but not dealbreakers were that we had to take our trash to the local disposal, which was free. Also, there is only one washcloth and towel per person, so it's necessary to bring some of your own or do laundry every day.
Again, overall a great place and neighborhood, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

This house held our family of 11 perfectly. The bar and game room right off the kitchen was a great gathering place. The teen girls enjoyed the garage apartment and the extra privacy. The master suite upstairs was very comfortable. We did have a little trouble regulating the heat between up and downstairs.

Well stocked kitchen - with nice granite counter top. Handy serving bar.
Air conditioning worked well, almost chilly by morning.
The game room was a favorite place to gather and play foosball and pool.
The outside deck area was used regularly.
The gas grill and fire pit were nice features. Hamburgers and smores.
The place was clean and nicely accommodated our family of 8 children, 3 of which are married and a grandchild.
The quarters above the garage were very handy for three of our boys to use.
It was a nice quiet neighborhood. Parking a little tight, but what I would expect when houses are built into mountainsides.

House was everything advertised. Dining room table chair had broken leg was left ON the table and several small carpets were left hanging over an open wall in hallway as if cleaners just forgot to put them back where they went after last cleaning. The code for garage door was not given in advance and it took nearly half an hour on phone at 6:30 (after hours) to get someone to give me the code. But the house was clean and a beautiful place for our gathering. Would definitely go back.

Amazing house. My family had a small reunion at the house and it comfortably fit 10 adults and 6 kids (between 1 and 9 years old). They had everything we needed in the house with very detailed instructions on how to operate everything which made navigating thru the house and electronics very easy! There were a perfect amount of blankets and towels for everyone. We did have an incident at the house and was forced to leave a day earlier bc there was no heat, but TripForth was available during the holidays, responsive and accommodating. We truly enjoyed our stay.
Just a couple of things that might help next visitor:
1) plumbing isn’t the best in the bathrooms (master bedroom on the first floor is perfect)…but they have a plunger and was easily resolved.
2) two adults had to stay in the apartment on top of the garage and they felt a bit secluded. It isn’t connected to the house and we stayed in the winter so it was a bit of a hassle for them to go back and forth

We reserved the Hideaway for our family Thanksgiving & Christmas weekend. Ideally located midway for our family. Listing photos truly do not do the house justice...it’s so much more beautiful in person. All rooms were appointed beautifully. LR DR Gameroom accommodated all 10 of us (aged 1 to 69) with no problem. Kitchen was very well stocked with everything we needed. Property Management was extremely responsive & helpful to any of our requests or issues. Views from
the house & deck would be great in any season. All in all, our family had a lovely ThanksMas and would love to return to the Hideaway again soon.

Loved the house and space. We didn't see the garage door opener the first night, and attempted the code listed on the sheet for the garage, and it didn't work. We needed that extra bedroom, and even though the call was answered saying someone would call back within 20 minutes, no one ever called back. The next day we found the garage door and texted to let them know. The only other problem we encountered was a patio door that was unlocled when we arrived, but the lock was broken and did not work. Otherwise, everything was great!

Absolutely stunning view and fantastic layout. We had around 17 people staying and we all were comfortable. People were able to walk around and move through the house without disturbing others which was a relief for us. The playroom was a lot of fun and the kitchen was able to accommodate us all. One minor quibble, the listing shows 3 K beds but there were only 2. Also, there are no pictures of the space over the garage but it sleeps 4 comfortably and has its own bathroom. Was great place for the kids to sleep and hangout. We're definitely renting again here in the future.

We took a week-long trip with three families (3 sets of married adults and six total "kids" aged 14-21) for a total of 12 people. This house had plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. The three young adult girls stayed in the space above the garage and everyone else stayed in the main house. There was even one extra bedroom. The house had everything we needed and was clean and cool. We did have to take the trash to a special collection area a few miles away but it's understandable with bears in the area. We did NOT see bears but saw several deer on the property. The property is very secluded. We could see neighbors houses but they were not close and it is very wooded (and hilly!) here. We spent a LOT of time in the game room/bar area playing pool and foosball and enjoying the beverages we bought at the many local wineries/cideries. We couldn't get the TV in the game room to connect so we just listened to music. The guys enjoyed an afternoon of golf just down the road. We visited Blue Ridge brewery (our fav for food), Bold Rock cidery (excellent ciders and we loved exploring the creek), Blue Toad cidery (great ciders, nice creek, great views, no food here), Flying Fox winery (great dry wines), Devil's Backbone Brewing Company (good food AND beer, guys especially loved this place), Hill Top Winery (ok sweet wines but if you only like dry wines, do not go here, the goats were a hit with the kids) and Brewing Tree Beer Company (Dara James sang and he is SO darn good, great food and slushies here). I was excited to try Sweet Bliss bakery but they were open on very limited days. If you want a whole dessert, you have to order 2 days in advance so we did not get anything. Just 0.4 miles from the house is a hidden gem of a park (Stoney Creek Park) which is well worth going to for picnicing and hiking. Overall the property was great for hanging out with our friend group and was a very relaxing. I would come back here again.

Excellent main floor living space for visiting and celebrating with a group of 13 adults over the course of a 4 day extended graduation weekend stay. Surrounding scenic beauty, privacy and location of the property was great. Property furnishings and amenities were complete with a few exceptions. Gas fire pit was unusable - needs repair or maintenance. Gas grill was lacking a grill brush needed to clean a very messy cooking surface. Large screen TV in main game room / entertainment space was unusable during our stay without having fortunately brought my own ROKU stick.

The house is convenient to restaurants and the amazing IGA, so we got takeout and groceries. Large house with apt above the garage which would have been perfect if we’d had older kids with us. We were three couples spending a long weekend in the area for wine tastings and hiking. Master bedroom on the main floor is very nice. All other bedrooms are on the lower floor, one with walk out. Two nice gathering areas and open kitchen made for great socializing. It’s located in a golf community part of Wintergreen. Houses are quite spread out so it felt private. The front deck has a nice view of the mountains beyond the trees, making it a nice place to sip wine or coffee and relax. Clean and cozy - we were pleased ?
