The Blue Ridge at Massanutten

The space was immaculate and beautifully decorated, exactly as shown in the photos. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I appreciated the thoughtful touches, like fresh towels. The location was perfect—close to local attractions yet nestled in a quiet neighborhood, providing the perfect balance of convenience and tranquility.

Beautiful Mountain View with deer grazing out front. It had everything we needed and nothing we didn’t such as clutter and knickknacks. The appliances worked well and the management team stayed on top of things. We had some loose chair legs, I sent in a note that evening and they were fixed before noon the next day. We WILL use them again.

Great view from the house, tons of amenities available and very secluded. The entrance is a bit of a scare the first time as it is just a break in the guard rail and there is no clear warning (other than GPS yelling at you) that the driveway is there. After finding the place it is very home-ey and comfortable. We saw a whole herd of deer in the front yard.

We had an excellent time at the Blue Ridge property. AMAZING views and perfect location. Overall the house was very clean. Easy to access and clear instructions for check in. Large, comfortable bedrooms. Great couches both in living room and basement. Very fun to have a theater room. We loved that they were pet friendly. They provide free access to two rec centers - we went to Woodstone for the gym and the pool. Better if they had more blankets or heavier blankets - they did not have comforters on beds, rather a top sheet and a thin hotel-style coverlet. Definitely recommend bringing your own blankets if you’re running the A/C in the summer. Pillows were small but fine, nothing too comfortable or not comfortable. Towels are also very thin and small - not really big enough to cover your body and walk down the hall after a shower. Enough utensils for one group meal. No blackout curtains - really only a thought because we were traveling with an infant. I cannot state it enough though… the views were amazing and worth every bit of our stay. Our family loved being able to watch the sunsets. We would definitely come back again!

This house is great for larger families or groups, tons of space inside & out! Yes some rooms are a little outdated, but it feels lived in and cozy, like being right at home! We didn't get to try out the resort amenities but they are super close by along with a few other restaurants and stores. We would 100% stay there again!

The ski conditions weren’t great due to exceptionally warm weather and rain. The trip was still worth it because of the house. Especially the theater room. The kitchen had everything we needed. We were able to cooked delicious meals and enjoy watching tv and movies on the big screen.

Stunningly beautiful views and landscape. This home was perfect for our dream fall colors trip. The beds are comfortable with plenty of space for our group of eight. The description is accurate. If you plan to cook plan to bring everything you need, but the kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, and dishes.

I highly recommend this house it was very well-kept very clean the rooms were huge. The house was very roomy enough room that everybody had their own space. The backyard was amazing with a fire outback. We watched the deer in the front yard. In the front porch the views from the air was just amazing. I highly recommend this house

We had a wonderful stay. The views are amazing. We saw deer in the yard morning and night. It was just beautiful. Any issues or questions we had the host was right on it. Very spacious. We brought our dogs with us. Everything was very accommodating. We did bring a baby gate with us because we have a senior dog that is not good on steps and the doorway going down to the basement has no door. Theater room was so much fun!

We had one day of fabulous weather so was able to enjoy the stunning view out of the front picture window. The rest of the time remnants of Ian mored in. Not to despair, large TVs. and the movie theater helped alleviate lack of view, besides rainy days are meant for reading. However, the Blue Ridge is the second house up Massanutten, which is actually very convenient, as there is a lot to do in the area. There is a lot of wildlife surrounding the house and front porches and decks to enjoy the wildlife and/or the views. The bedrooms are good sized and the king beds are comfortable. The kitchen is better equipped than most kitchens from vacation rentals. There are no soap dishes, which is a pain, bring your own liquid soap to make life easier and less messy. There, I had to reach for a complaint. I would stay in this house again without a doubt.

This home has beautiful views of the mountains and there are always deer in the yard. The home has everything you need. There are Roku TVs in every room, the home is very clean, the beds are extremely comfortable, and the kitchen is stocked with everything you need for cooking.

Really beautiful setting for our trip and perfectly accommodated our guests. We all enjoyed the view and playing in the yard with the kids. The house was built in the 1980s, so there were some dated features, but it also had everything we needed, so no real complaints there. Since we did have little ones, I wish I would've thought to bring a baby gate for the downstairs entry point from the kitchen, but all in all, very nice house and vacation! Appreciated the email reminders and prompt responses to my questions from the host. Thanks again!

Rented the Blue Ridge house at the Massanutten resort. The house was lovely. The yard was large and the kids and dog enjoyed running around. It was at the top of a hill and not too close to any other property. The bedrooms were large and the beds were comfortable. The bathrooms were a bit cramped and the toilets were low to the floor. The coffee maker took over an hour to make 12 cups. Seemed too slow. The outlets on one wall of the kitchen did not work. The fire pit outside was nice. The basement area had a projection room where the kids watched movies. They were able to play freely in the basement without worry of breaking things. There were a lot of ladybugs around the windows inside. Didn't bother us but may if you abhor beetles. The front window had a gorgeous view, but could have used some sheer curtains to block the sun during part of the day. Front porch access from main floor master bedroom and front door. We did find a mysterious beer can on the grass where we had been playing kickball right off the porch. That was a little creepy. Overall it was a great visit though. Thank you!

Wonderful house - comfortable rooms and common spaces, nice back yard area. Great location, too - unbeatable view of the mountains, deer in the yard, and close to some lovely wineries! We had a terrific stay. Only very minor note is that the coffee pot takes a super long time to brew and may be on the way out (30+ minutes for a single pot; we flagged it for the company to take a look). Also a number of ladybugs/stink bugs around, but that's very common in this area (more of a heads up than a problem). All in all, fantastic.

Woke up to unobstructed view of mystic fog in the Shenandoah Valley and the mountain range. Early Thanksgiving family celebration. Everything we needed. Very clean. Great safe large yard for the dogs and kids to run. Shared with the deer. Couldn’t get the theater electronics to cooperate with modern tech, but played movies on the smart TV in the living room easily. Easy access for elderly in the rear as the house is set on a hill making front steps numerous.

Our family of 6 adults had a great time at the house! It is perfect for a large group and has everything you need. The house is 15-20 minutes from the Swift Run Gap entrance station and 15 min from downtown Harrisonburg. We enjoyed the fire pit and the cinema room very much!

Had to an awesome vacation and the house was beautiful with everything my family needed. My only recommendations would be to repaint the front porch area as the outside of a home appearance is just as important as the inside when a consumer is looking for vacation home rentals, The lock we had to call to get back in after being out all day because the door would not open although the key code was working. It happened again on our third day but fortunately everyone didn’t go out so we were able to get in, more chairs on the front porch to utilize especially when you have a big group staying at the home and lastly the hot water goes out fast when taking a shower. Otherwise I definitely recommend this place as the view is beautiful as well as the home itself. Loved seeing the animals too.

The house was very clean. The 4 king size beds were very comfortable . Only a couple of minor issues. We tried to use the dryer our last night and the knobs were broken . We thought we were going home with wet cloths but managed to get it to work. Also we were unable to use the home theatre systems. All the necessary cords weren’t there for our needs. The house is very conveniently located . Being able to use the pools at the Massanutten Resort was a plus. I would definitely recommend 404 Massanutten Drive.

Nice private location but close to the entrance of Massanutten which made driving to Shenandoah NP easy.
All the needed kitchen supplies were there and there was plenty of space for our family of 4. Roku TVs in each bedroom was a nice touch.
Would definitely consider staying there again and maybe even bring our pup!

This was a perfect stay with a big family! The view is better than I could have imagined and close to everything we needed. The closest neighbor is about a 5 minute walk. It was nice to get away and enjoy time with family. The resorts and amenities are close but it was also nice to stay in and relax with the family.

The location of the house is perfect and the mountain views are breathtaking! The hill that it sits on is great for sledding! I would highly recommend bringing your own sleds if you stay during snow season. I would have given the cleanliness 5 stars, however, we had at least 8-10 dead stink bugs to clean up when we arrived and then ended up killing at least 10 additional ones during our week long stay. The kitchen is fully stocked, but it's missing a cutting board and the ice-maker wasn't working. You can buy ice at any of the convenience stores right by the house, but it would have been nice to know prior to arriving. There was plenty of hot water for all of us (9 total). I would definitely recommend that towel hooks be hung in the main floor master bath. We ended up moving the stool from the closet into the bath so we had somewhere to put our towels/clothes while we were showering. All of the beds are VERY comfortable and the linens were clean and soft. The vanity drawers in the main floor master bath are in need of repair (especially the large bottom one). I ended up smashing my finger between the drawer and the tile when the drawer came out as fast as it dropped. A small first aid kit at the property would be a nice amenity for urgent situations (like when a vanity drawer is broken and ends up smashing a finger and almost taking the nail off). The theater room with the large screen was great for playing family games and the area was large enough to accommodate all of us. We spent every evening down there! Due to the amount of people and the fact that we cooked every meal at the house for a week, I would recommend that the house have 2 large trash containers. We filled the one and had at least 6-8 additional bags that could have easily filled another one. Be ready to take beautiful pictures of the views that the house offers and also to capture all of the wildlife that you will see daily. We definitely enjoyed our stay and hope to be back again next year!
